an Assistant Mistress at the Church Missionary Society's Anglo-Chinese Girls' School. In 1910 Miss Pearce

returned to England with her father, because of his

health. She has recently been working as an Assistant Mistress teaching English and Music at a High School at

Burgess Hill, Sussex.

Miss Pearce should have no difficulty in

teaching the subjects which will be required of her at

the Belilios Public School, Hong Kong and in other ways

she is exceptionally qualified for the appointment, as

she knows Hong Kong well, has taught in a School there

and has some knowledge of Chinese. Moreover Miss

Pearce is known to the Headmistress of the Belilios
